Dr. Njaa

Dr. Njaa is focused on helping individuals and families achieve optimal health through evidence-based, patient-centered care. She utilizes diversified chiropractic techniques alongside adjunct therapies, including Western Medical Acupuncture, to reduce pain, improve function, and support long-term wellness. She has a strong interest in caring for patients across all life stages, with advanced focus in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care.

Dr. Njaa earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2021, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Great Distinction (2016) from the University of Saskatchewan. Her strong academic foundation, combined with ongoing continuing education, allows her to deliver personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Her approach includes:
• Diversified Chiropractic Care – Hands-on adjustments to restore alignment, reduce pain, and improve mobility
• Western Medical Acupuncture – Evidence-informed needling techniques to treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions
• Prenatal Chiropractic Care – Utilizing the Webster Technique providing specialized, gentle chiropractic care to support pelvic balance, reduce pregnancy-related discomfort, and improve comfort throughout pregnancy
• Pediatric Chiropractic Care – Gentle, age-appropriate care for infants and children to support healthy development, address birth-related strain, feeding challenges, sleep concerns, and early musculoskeletal imbalances

Dr. Njaa has had personal experience with severe low back pain, which inspired her path into chiropractic and gives her a deep understanding of both pain-focused treatment and wellness-based, preventative care, allowing her to meet patients where they are at and support what they need most.

Outside of practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, spending time at the lake, and staying active through exercise, playing golf, and traveling.
Dr. Njaa is in good standing with the Chiropractic Association of Saskatchewan (CAS), the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA) and holds membership with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Njaa also owns and practices part-time at Avalon Wellness Centre in Saskatoon, SK.
Melissa Nedjelski
PT, BSc. Kin., MPT, BDN
Melissa Nedjelski is a dedicated physiotherapist helping individuals improve mobility, manage pain, and enhance overall well-being through hands-on treatment and movement-based rehabilitation. She integrates manual therapy, biomedical dry needling, and exercise prescription to support recovery and help people return to the activities they love. She also has a special interest in working with golfers through Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) golf assessments, as well as supporting individuals undergoing or recovering from cancer with exercise-based rehabilitation
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2016 and her Master of Physical Therapy in 2019 from the University of Saskatchewan. Her strong academic foundation, combined with years of clinical experience, allows her to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals.

Her approach includes:
• Manual Therapy – Hands-on techniques to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility
• Biomedical Dry Needling (BDN) – A targeted treatment to relieve muscle tension and promote healing
• Exercise Prescription – Customized rehabilitation programs to support recovery and prevent injuries​
• TPI Golf Assessment – Movement screening and rehabilitation tailored to reduce injury risk
• Cancer Exercise Rehabilitation – Safe, individualized exercise programming to support those undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.

Originally from small-town Saskatchewan, Melissa values the importance of accessible healthcare in rural areas and is passionate about supporting the health and wellness of the Wakaw community.
Outside of her practice, Melissa enjoys outdoor activities and sports, including golf, volleyball, and badminton. She believes in the power of movement not only for rehabilitation but also for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

​She works part-time at both Prairie Lake Chiropractic and Avalon Wellness Centre in Saskatoon, SK, bringing expert care to both urban and rural communities.
